Wounded Boks face Dublin jinx By:Craig Ray in Dubl

HEYNEKE Meyer's Springboks arrived in a cold, damp Irish capital yesterday knowing the first match against tricky rivals on this three-Test tour could set the tone for the rest of the trip.
In recent years Ireland in Dublin have been the Springboks' nemesis, winning three of the last four clashes at old Lansdowne Road and at Croke Park.

The Irish, normally a formidable obstacle, present an even higher hurdle for a Bok squad weakened by key absentees.

Meyer's squad is without hooker Bismarck du Plessis, lock Andries Bekker, flanks Schalk Burger and Heinrich Brüssow, No 8 Pierre Spies, flyhalf Johan Goosen, centre Frans Steyn and wing Bryan Habana; and several of the tour party are among the walking wounded

Good Luck HEYN
