Yesterday, I read an article about Lori Loughlin and John Stamos on WebproNews that made me wonder about missed opportunities… I was so curious that I created a poll. How many of us wonder about “the one who got away"?
The article, written by Amanda Crum, read as follows:
…Lori Loughlin and John Stamos were an onscreen couple for many years while working on Full House, but both claim they never got together in real life beyond a date or two in their younger days. And it wasn’t for lack of trying; Stamos has called Loughlin “the one that got away”, and the actress–who is now happily married–says it came down to timing.
“I was married at the time I was doing the show to my first husband,” Loughlin said earlier this year. “Literally when I was getting divorced, he met Rebecca .”
Stamos has acknowledged that she is a happily married woman now, but that doesn’t mean he doesn’t think about what might have been.
“We were friends, we were on the soaps together and we actually did date,” Stamos said. “We went on a date to Disneyland before, you know, before we were both married. In real life, when we were 18, 19 years old. We did have some off timing, but no disrespect to her family and her husband now, I would say that she could be the one that got away.” …
