its has become apparent that the art of conversation is lost..With technology advancing everyday it has become less necessary to talk to the people around you. I work in a a family restaurant and it amazes me daily how many people I wait on that have a hard time separating themselves from their phone.They want your attention yet when you provide it to them they can't seem to break concentration on their phone long enough to help you take care of them. Parents who come in to have dinner with their children sit mesmerized staring into their phone..The kids pulling and tugging at the sleeve of mom or dad are quickly brushed off in an attempt to avoid distraction..I love the parents who give the phone to the kids who are acting out in an attempt to shut them up.. Then it becomes a battle of time limits on how long the parent can actually sit there before being separated from the phone starts to wear on them..Quickly the phone is snatched back..Heaven forbid you should actually sit there and have a conversation with your child or better yet the adult sitting across from you. i love the families that come in all equip with tablets..sitting around the restaurant table playing games surfing the web..And when dinner comes trying to convince them that you have to move the tablet in order for them to have their plate placed in front of them..This notion baffles people..No one talk. No one laughs just sit staring into a phone..
