faith

from this conversation we learn a great deal about saten he is accountable to God... all angelic beings good and evil are compelled to present themselves before God. God knew that saten was intent on attacking Job. saten can be at only one place at a time his demons aid him at his work but as a created being he is limited. saten can not see into our minds or fortell the future if he could he would of know that Job would not break under pressure. saten can do nothing without Gods permission. Gods people can overcome his attacks through Gods power. God puts limitations on what saten can do 1-7 tells us that saten is real and active on earth. Knowing this should cause us to remain close to the one who is greater than saten -- only God himself.
Job was a model of trust and obedience to God yet God permitted saten to attack him in especially a very harsh manner, although God loves us believng and obeying him do not shelter us from lifes calamities. setbacks, tragedies and sorrows strike Christians and non Christians alike but in our tests and trials God expects us
to express out faith to the world

Second half of a great confession continued...

Probably, if we think about it long and hard enough, we can figure it out. I think it has a great deal to do with 'WE REAP WHAT WE SOW.'

Funny how simple it is for people to trash God and t hen wonder why the world's going to hell. Funny how we believe what the newspapers say, but question what the Bible says. Funny how you can send 'jokes' through e-mail and they spread like wildfire but when you start sending messages regarding the Lord, people think twice about sharing. Funny how lewd, crude, vulgar and obscene articles pass freely through cyberspace, but public discussion of God is suppressed in the school and workplace.

Are you laughing?

Funny how when you forward this message, you will not send it to many on your address list because you're not sure what they believe, or what they will think of you for sending it.

Funny how we can be more worried about what other people think of us than what God thinks of us.

Pass it on if you think it has merit. If not then just discard it... no one will know you did. But, if you discard this thought process, don't sit back and complain about what bad shape the world is in. My Best Regards.

Honestly and respectfully,

Ben Stein

Heres a great confession....

The following was written by Ben Stein and recited by him on CBS Sunday Morning Commentary.

Ben Stein

My confession:
I am a Jew, and every single one of my ancestors was Jewish. And it does not bother me even a little bit when people call those beautiful lit up, bejeweled trees Christmas trees. I don't feel threatened. I don't feel discriminated against. That's what they are: Christmas trees.

It doesn't bother me a bit when people say, 'Merry Christmas' to me. I don't think they are slighting me or getting ready to put me in a ghetto. In fact, I kind of like it. It shows that we are all brothers and sisters celebrating this happy time of year. It doesn't bother me at all that there is a manger scene on display at a key intersection near my beach house in Malibu . If people want a creche, it's just as fine with me as is the Menorah a few hundred yards away.

I don't like getting pushed around for being a Jew, and I don't think Christians like getting pushed around for being Christians. I think people who believe in God are sick and tired of getting pushed around, period. I have no idea where the concept came from that America is an explicitly atheist country. I can't find it in the Constitution and I don't like it being shoved down my throat.

Or maybe I can put it another way: where did the idea come from that we should worship Nick and Jessica and we aren't allowed to worship God as we understand Him? I guess that's a sign that I'm getting old, too. But there are a lot of us who are wondering where Nick and Jessica came from and where the America we knew went to.

In light of the many jokes we send to one another for a laugh, this is a little different: This is not intended to be a joke; it's not funny, it's intended to get you thinking.

Billy Graham's daughter was interviewed on the Early Show and Jane Clayson asked her 'How could God let something like this happen?' (regarding Katrina) Anne Graham gave an extremely profound and insightful response.. She said, 'I be lieve God is deeply saddened by this, just as we are, but for years we've been telling God to get out of our schools, to get out of our government and to get out of our lives. And being the gentleman He is, I believe He has calmly backed out. How can we expect God to give us His blessing and His protection if we demand He leave us alone?'

In light of recent events...terrorists attack, school shootings, etc. I think it started when Madeleine Murray O'Hare (she was murdered, her body found recently) complained she didn't want prayer in our schools, and we said OK. Then someone said you better not read the Bible in school. The Bible says thou shalt not kill, thou shalt not steal, and love your neighbor as yourself. And we said OK.

Then Dr. Benjamin Spock said we shouldn't sp ank our children when they misbehave because their little personalities would be warped and we might damage their self-esteem (Dr. Spock's son committed suicide). We said an expert should know what he's talking about. And we said OK.

Now we're asking ourselves why our children have no conscience, why they don't know right from wrong, and why it doesn't bother them to kill strangers, their classmates, and themselves. (read the second half above of the Confession con't) 2nd blog

....God delivers

It is also clear in all of jobs troubles that it is human nature to blame people for their own troubles, but jobs story makes it clear that blame cannot always be attached to those whom trouble strikes.
people are often caught up in their own traps. Scripture must be used to explain and comment on itself. We must be familiar with the "entire" scope of Gods words to properly understand the difficult portions of it.

Faith.......

Faith yes I agree In the book of Job There is a great example of faith....
One day the heavenly court went to present themselves to God and the accuser saten came with them. ' where have you come from? the Lord asked saten. saten answered the Lord i have been patrolling the earth watching everything that is going on. then the Lord asked saten have you noticed my servant Job. He is the finist man in all the earth. He is blamesless a man of complete integrity. He fears God and stays away from evil.
saten replied to the Lord"yes but job has good reason to fear God. you have always put a wall of protection around him and his home and his property. You have made him prosper in everything he does. Look how rich he is but reach out and take away everything he has and he will surely curse you to your face!!
alright you may test him the Lord said to saten do whatever you want to everything that he possess but don't harm him physically. so saten left the Lords presence.
One day when Job's sons and daughters were feasting at the older brothers house a messanger arrived at Jobs house with this news:Your oxen were plowing with the donkeys feeding beside them when the sabeans raided us. They stole all the animals and killed all the farm hands. i am the only one who escaped to telll you'
while he was still speaking another messenger arrived with this news, the fire of God as fallen from heaven and burned up your sheep and all the shepards.. I am the only one who escaped to tell you. while he was still speaking a third messenger arrived with this news, three bands of Chaldean raiders have stolen your camels and killed your servants. i am the only one who escaped to telll you.
while he was still speaking another messenger arrived with this news Your sons and daughters were feasting in their oldest brothers home. suddenly a powerful wind swept in from the wilderness and hit the house on all sides. the house collasped and all your children are dead. I am the only one who escaped to tell you.
I came naked from my mothers womb
and i will be nakeed when i leave
The Lord gave me what i have
and the Lord has taken it away
Praise the name of the Lord

In all of this Job did not sin by blaming God...Faith and keeping faith
*****
** now saten originally and angel of God had become corrupt trough his own pride. he has been evil since his rebellion against God. saten conciders God as his enemy. He tries to hinder Gods work in people but he is limited by Gods power and can do only what he is permitted luke 22:31,32 timothy1;19;20 timothy2;23-26
saten is our enemy because he actively looks for people to attack with temptation(1peter5:8,90)and because he wants to make people hate God
he does this through lies and deception(genesis3:1-6)

faith

Many people think that believing in God protects them form trouble so when calamity comes they question Gods goodness and justice. But the message of Job is that you should not give up on God because He allows you to have bad experiences. Faith in God does not guarentee personal prosperity and lack of faith does not guarentee troubles in this life If this were so people would believe in God just to get rich. God is capable of rescueing us from suffering but he may also alow suffering to come for reasons we cannot understand. It is satens strategy to get us to doubt God at exactly this moment. here job shows a perspective broade than seeking his own personal comfort. if we always new why we were suffering our faith would have no room to grow. you should read on as job was tested many times in the book of Job... Great understanding of God and faith
saten who also hates God hates Gods people. Gods people can overcome his attacks through Gods power..
