Love for a Best Friend
He is someone who I met in a hotel bar
Talking about different things
He is someone who saw things in me
That not many people see
He is someone who allowed me to comfort him
When he needed a shoulder to cry on
He is someone who comforted me
When I needed to be held
He is someone who always had a positive outlook
On life and the world around him
He is someone who is always like a brother to me
Like I'm like a sister to him
He is someone who has unlocked my heart and allowed me
To pour out my secrets and my emotions to him
He is someone who I am very proud to call
My best friend
He is someone who I will always love as a friend and brother

For my first blog entry on this site, I debated on what to write about but then I decided to start my first blog entry on this site by sharing three of my poems with you guys. I don't normally share my writings with people I don't know but who knows? Maybe someone will appreciate someone with a talent for writing. Anyway, here is the first poem.
Friendship Is ....
Friendship is laughing at one's jokes
and making them laugh in return
Friendship is comforting them when life drags them down
and when they need a shoulder to cry on
and a listening ear
Friendship is doing things together rain or shine
and during the day or night
Friendship is nurturing one who needs advice
and needs help with their problems
This is friendship is to me, that loyal trusted friend who is all of those
things is you
