I agree with you that honesty is most important and the foundation of a good relationship. The other important thing is that a relationship is about giving. Many people, especially young men but also some young women, think of a relationship as a box with a pretty wrapping. They want to see what is in the box that they can take. What is in it for them? But in a good relationship, the box is empty. The relationship is the opportunity to put things into the box--to give to the other person. If you are focused on giving, then the relationship will be strong. A man who appreciates you will see a relationship with you as an opportunity to give to you. I don't mean money or gifts, but love, support, kindness, thoughtfulness, pleasure, and happiness. It is not selflessness on his part, because giving is really more fun than getting--seeing the joy in the other person.
Seashell, I am sure you will find someone who will be serious and very into you and give you everything you deserve.
