Paradise

The waterfall cascades down to the ground,
And stray crystals cast a shimmering glow
Upon the sightly flowers that surround
A glistening pool of waters that flow
Down a winding path to lands much too far
For human eyes to see, lest you follow
But who would wish to leave Paradise? Are
They discontent with the lilting Swallow?
The chorus of the peaceful trilling toads?
Perhaps it is the sweet scent on the breeze.
But I will stay, I think. For this place boads
Well for me. With its lush surrounding trees.
Alone, my own, I wish to be right here;
Amongst the trees and forest dwellers dear.
