Elusiveness should be because of your confident, independent mind; not as a dating ploy. You like someone and you show it without clinging to the thought of being together. Everything worthwhile is a fine balance.

Yes! imagining you two being together leads you to fear of losing him and losing yourself, your independence as a process. You only focus on how to keep him happy to keep him.That in turn makes him lose interest in you because he thinks you changed. He thinks you are no longer the woman he once genuinely liked.
