What If?

What if you found the essence of honesty? Would you recognize it? Can it be found in the past? What if I could live only for this moment? If I had no ideas or expectations for tomorrow, no regrets or appreciation for yesterday? Is this the path of extermination, or a liberating way of life? Is honesty really something that is sought after? Or is it a subtle expression for wanting to live a 'safe' life? Who goes there, who lives this life fully right now? Strength is eroded in the fullness of time. Flexibility is a suspect quality against a background of intrusion. Yes, we desire love, but are witness to its temporal nature. It mirrors our lives. I must think that most of us, whether we are aware of it or are not, live a lie. Constantly engaged in the ideas of times that either have yet to exist or have already expired. So, when you seek honesty, what do you really mean? Words are subtle for their meanings; who takes the time to feel the subtleties? Who has the ability and intuition to define this existence? To ask these questions and expect heart felt and honest answers? Who?
