Because they contact you to get more information. Once they have enough information, they decide if they want to pursue you or not. If not, they ignore you because they are not really interested or they may be busy with some one else and you get put further down the to do list, until you fall off.
I like it, it saves me allot of time too, I also get the information I need and I make the same choices if it hasn't been make for me already :o)
Don't take rejection so hard. Go with the flow, let it happen.
Let the natural process of filtration and natural selection just happen. Add some photos, modify and hone your profile to perfection until it reflects who you really are. The rest will take care of it self.
Empower yourself, learn the process until you can control the process to achieve the results you want.
Everyone want's heaven on earth, but few take the time and make the effort required to make it happen. I am working on this last statement myself. Good luck!
