Am sure this gentleman woud be delighted to see such an encouraging thread dedicated to him, how respectful ppl are of getting older doh

It is somewhere we are all headed, unless we meet our end sooner. Jeses we should be celebrating the fact that life doesnt stop as we get older not making little of the man.

I have a sense of humour and if the gent was here laughing with ppl that would be one thing, but laughing at someone...thats a different ball game altogether.

I disagree

My father is heading for 70 and he jokes about euthanasia, admitting him to a nursing home etc...old age is something to be thankful for, god knows many of us will never make it that far

Thats my point, if the person themselves is taking part thats different to laughing behind someones back. my Mam is 72 and a great one for having a laugh about her age.
