is it popping up at botom of screen or on a webpage if page just need to activate pop up blocker if at bottom of screen you got malware

done a system restore and it vanished
worse one is rouge anti spyware asking you to subscribe to get rid of virus you dont have you try to delete them and it keeps coming back only way i found to get rid of them on xp is to download smitfraud free download not sure about vista if they have a version for it or not but woks ok on xp
