Well I posted this thread cause I was having one of those night not to depress or otherwise. . I don't mind being single it's something I have gotten used to but I do like any normal human get a little pissed off about it at times and anybody who says they don't is full of the brown stuff. . . Now to address another point I do mail guys and date so thats not the problem. .

this time of year really dose make it seem wrose too...would be nice to just meet someone on line and just take a chance get to know eachoher and see how it gose...i think that whats we all should do...just give eachother a chance and you know with a bit of luck no one on the site maybe single when christmas get hear it wroth a try hay.

When your younger its easier to meet someone as we are naive and innocent and are prepared to forgive alot as we think its only a bit of fun. We only get serious about someone and fall in love when we get to know each other and grow together.
The problem then when we get older is we have been hurt and tend to see the flaws in people before we get to know them as we do not wish to be hurt again. Its unavoidable i think but it makes finding someone harder as we have now drawn up an idea of who we like or dont based on previous experience and this limits our field.
I am not single all that long (About 6 months) so i havnt experienced the long spells of singledom that others here have so maybe im unqualified to comment. I do remember when i fell in love and i was far different as a person then than i am now. I was young and far more enthusiastic about meeting people. Commitment meant nothing and was nothing to be feared. I was at the begining of my adult life and the world was my oyster. The whole world was like a singles club with hormones flying all over the place. Now things are more similar to a chess club with everyone waiting for someone to make a move.
