Many are born into this world with the ability to develop his or her intellect during the process of growing up - a marvellous gift offered by nature, which distinguishes humans from other beings. But unfortunately this great reasoning power remains latent within us because, from the moment we are born, we are conditioned by the beliefs we unknowingly gather from our society, religions and traditions, from our parents, teachers and friends and from our so called leaders and other influential people etc. This process of conditioning goes on forever and it is extremely difficult to avoid its vast influence. The vast majority of us have to accept this reality whether we like it or not.
Eventually, we are made to belong to various nationalities, races, casts, languages, religions, traditions, superstitions, political views, social levels etc and many of us become holders and carriers of such things and start a never-ending battle in life losing the simplicity of our mind. When overwhelmed with pride, greed, envy, hatred, ignorance etc, we begin to trust our beliefs upon others by hook or by crook and try to obtain mastery over them making almost all of us more and more ignorant and losing all human values.
Many viewpoints that we proudly bear on various matters, although they seem to be constructive, are more destructive when intellectually reasoned. Many people wrongly think that being academically or religiously well educated, is a good sign of being intellectual as well. Of course this is some sort of knowledge and intelligence that is very useful to survive in this commercialized world. But that is not at all enough to explore every situation that we have to face in our life, especially to understand this illusive society and exist in it...
