Godsgift: It's been done but it's not easy. We had a Clare weekend that involved clubbing, games, paintballing and eating but the problem is:

1. Half the people who register don't turn up so it's hard to book for numbers.

2. It invariably involves a monetary deposit so someone would have to take cash from people which is actually against the CS rules and let's be honest....who really knows anybody on here? And even if we got someone totally honest, there would be one or two who would accuse them of lining their own pockets.

there's ways n means around that......we could find somewhere that would take the bookings as individual ones and thus the oness is on everyone themselves to send in a draft or pay via card for their booking deposit ........would certainly weed out the genuine people coming from those who are not.........say to everyone they have a deadline to pay by and if you don't by then .......well tough!!dunno

SereneGreen: just had a thought (I know a rare thing!) but how about we arrange a hotel/venue and try get a discount and do a whole weekend shindig sometime in the future....or is that just putting too much pressure on people financially??

sounds like a plan give people enough notice and anything can be arranged

So presuming there's a viable possibility this could be organized .....when do you think would be a good time to do it? Pre or post Xmas??
