I'm not sure about being burnt, had that with a few of my ex's!! I have looked at various religions over the years, I was christened as a baby when I couldn't decide for myself, and became a pagan at 18 because it seemed to fit my beliefs. Nowadays I am totally non-religious for no particular reason other than run olut of time.
In response to: I was brought up to treat people how I wish to be treated myself, to give people trust unless they have done something to me to remove that trust. Everybody is equal no matter what colour or creed!
There are those that believe morality can only come from religious dogma, i.e. one requires the restraint imposed by the threat of spiritual punishment in order to behave morally and ethically. This is, of course, nonsense, however, there are still those that believe atheists are evil and morally corrupt. Sadly, that only evinces the limitations in experience and cognition within said individuals.

NO, not at all... In fact it probably makes you a more open minded, balanced, non judgemental person. Religion, whether or not it aims to, devides people into sects fighting over ownership of a"GOD".... how many have been killed by people alledgedly fighting in a religions/Gods name. I too am NON Religious having seen the light many years ago, that religious organisations are all CULTS some larger, some smaller but all out to control, to exert power on the weak.... TWo great documenteries to watch are

Some of the worst persons i've met in life were so called religous persons. One of the biggest scandals of the last years was about pedofile priests. Islam which declares holy war, Other religions in war between them.
It's not the religion that defines a person but the soul and heart inside him.
