Not really just " entertainment". Any social networking is a tool for people connecting. You can make friends, can talk, can share, can be closer friend or sth specially..it will come one day when you meet right people.

It is pretty rough. You have to have a thick skin, and you have to trust everyone as far as you can throw them. If you are looking to casually date, that is really easy. But if you are looking for a woman to spend your life with, well, that is another story. But, it does work. Heck, my older brother found his wife on a singles website.
The kind of trust to meet someone has to be earned. Take lots of time and see what happens. Do not stop going out. Its not tough to meet someone online but there are more steps involved. One of my best friends met his wife online. so it dose work , but you have to sort threw alot of bs. just like daiting in the real world.

Is it really this tough to meet people on the internet? I mean I get the safety/security thing. But It seems like no one trusts anyone, and if that's true... Why bother? Am I missing the point? Is internet dating for "entertainment" only?
