Ross30: I fully agree Irish sparkies should be asked first but would they be willing to work for lets say 30% less pay than the ESB sparkies.
I would assume the standard rate for an electrician is the same whether you work for the ESB or not but where money could be saved would be on overtime rates and by pricing out general maintenance work. we don't need any more east europeans as We have enough Irish workers in the country.
