Here is a little meandering thought i had the other day...

At the age i am at now...i think that "Memories" have changed forever, allow me to explain.

(im only referring to myself, each person is different)

If i wanted to discuss my grandfather (who passed when i was an infant) with my parents, we would have a look at the very few old black and white photos and we would discuss my dads memories of being a boy etc... Now, how accurate are these memories? Baring in mind that the same memory seen by 2 seperate people could mean 2 completely different things... depending on reference.

My point is simple, in many years my grandchildren will discuss me, and in doing so will simply log onto the internet and google me. There are many videos, photos, tv shows etc... so they will see EXACTLY what im like, all aspects of my life, be able to find out all sorts of facts about me through digital media.

From this moment onwards, our lives are well documented in such away like never before. Its not a bad thing at all, its just odd when i stop to think about it......

Its true memory is subjective. For example...how literal do you suppose say Hunter S Thompsons memoirs are? grin
