To quote the great founding father himself, Benjamin Franklin:
'They who can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety'
Of course, the Patriot Act has since run roughshod over that statement and the truth that it holds. And unfortunately, I doubt the US Government will be so willing to repeal it, even following the death of Bin Laden. If the American people wish to regain the freedom that their founding fathers won for them, they need to TAKE it back, not wait for it to be given back.
