baldydude: sounds like my merc 280se, took it to kilrush in clare cpl months back, clocked up aprox 200mls cost me €140 on petrol

I think a Boeing 747 is more economical than that !!

laugh thats the joys off a 2ton car with a petrol guzzlin 2.8 6cylinder engine help laugh

when we bought the merc450 (4.5 v8) a few years back before the petrol prices skyrocketed i collected it outside heatrow airport nd drove it back via pembroke/rosslare back to cork aprox 300mls, filled up the tank in heatrow £75sterling had to stop outside cardiff nd fill it up again £85sterling nd stopped in waterford to top it off with 50euro to make sure i'd enouf to get home conversing laugh

baldydude: aye they fun cars nd ya cant beat the crumble of the 6 nd 8 cylinder engine's but for short local spins only

the oldest car rally in Ireland is taking place some time in august up your neck of the woods it runs from ennis to bunrathy caste, if i heard it right it the 100th annaversarry they are expecting 100's of classics to take part, might even drive one up myself for it, should be a good day out nd great cars on display thumbs up

I'm less than 15 minutes from Bunratty now because of our new tunnell under the shannon. I pass Bunratty everyday on my way to work. I will watch out for that event !!
Come to think of it I think I have seen a poster for it up somewhere !!
