Bindy75: Haven't had major accident. But have had cancer twice, the first time one of the tumours was wrapped around the main artery from the heart and one was pushing on my throat, making it hard to breathe.

I have had a couple of experiences
One I was laying on a hospital bed watching a doctor tell my mum if she didnt give permission for a medication that she would be signing my death certificate. The doc thought I was unconscious, but I wasnt, I just couldnt move or make enough sound to be heard. The doc did me a favour though, there was no way he was going to have that over my mum so I fought like hell!
Another one was on a bushwalk that went wrong in the fact that the path we were going to walk was in flood so we headed up and round the river. We got to a place the only way was up a steep bank, I was about 4th in line. The fella in front of me loosen a clump of grass that was being used as a hand grip but didnt say anything, or remove it totally so no one else would grab it. I grabbed it and it came loose in my hand. I also had about 6 kgs of camera equpment on my back at the time and it was pulling me backwards as well. I evidently made a small sound and thankfully the man who had loosen the grass reached down and pulled my hand back to ground and regained my balance. Another few seconds and I would have fallen in to rocks in the raging river below. I know I wouldnt stop climbing up the hill until I knew I was safe. Then I burst into tears and shook for about 5-10 minutes. I still have trouble years later walking across rocks
I have seen death, smelt death, and been promised it, I have had axes, baseball bats, timber palings, iron bars, swords, butchers knifes, rifles, shotguns and once a pistol and any thing else that could be considered a weapon pointed at me over the years.
I have been grazed by passing busses, knocked down by stupid rubber necking motorists, had people attempt to start and drive their car whilst I am under it ... and damn near Kill me ...
all this just from driving a Tow Truck clearing smashes and repocessing motor vehicles ...
I have been hit by more half bricks and rocks more times than I can ever remember ... and truth be told, I loved every minute of it ... mostly ...
