Book, hands down. High tech gadgets are good for some things, and they have their place. There's something about the look, feel, and smell of a book that can't be matched. Way too many of the younger generation will never understand.
I have been contemplating getting one of these e-book readers as well .... I have lots of books at home to still finish reading and while they do consume "space" I'm not entirely sure how keen I'd really like the Ipad or some such version.
Looking at the computer screen is tiring on my eyes, and I do have to wonder how my experience of being captivated by a great story snuggled under the covers will be impacted. There is something to be said for sitting down to read a great book no matter where you are.
I think both options are viable .... but if I had to choose, the book would come in first place. Cost wise though, the ereader books are extremely affordable ... I have to admit that when a book is $10-30 plus it does make one think that perhaps this new technology is the way to go.
* Books dont run out of power and have to be recharged.
* When you buy a book, what you want to read is already in it.
* You cant crack the screen on a book cos it doesnt have one.
* If you lose your book, you dont have to shell out hundreds of dollars for a replacement.
* Books have a smell to them, the only smell an ipod or other device may have is when there is a problem, then that smell indicates the shelling out of yet more money to repair it.
Iliah: I don't have Ipad yet and it would be nice to have one having learned of its features.
I like the smell of the pages and the feel when I turn them...all part of the delight reading one.
Why do you prefer which...yourself? ":D
iPad any day.. I like flicking pages but with the iPad I carry 900 books around always available and it actually surprised me that I can read for hours on it with no issues
