montecito: That's a great story. I didn't go outside today but the next day I go out and stand in a line that a veteran is also standing in I'm going to pay for what he has......unless it's a Mercedes Benz..

We have great people in all branches of our military. Hopefully they will all be home by the end of 2011.

First thing this morning I went to breakfast put on by the Elks Club.On the house for all vets......It was pretty cool....

Hey Montecito. I am a Canadian and although this thread was about American vets; you made me give a lot of thought about Canadian Vets. I spent the day at services and walking among the rows of rows of crosses dedicated to our Veterans that died for the freedom that we enjoy. For the first time in years; my ice cold heart melted and I felt such sadness for my fallen comarades that I actually shed tears. Thanks for reminding me of just how how wonderful life is thanks to these people who sacrificed so much for us. It truly was a kick in the butt I needed. teddybear
