10 years ago I bought my nephew a 'Little Tikes' wheeled loader , he still has it today . Little Tikes , pretty bombproof that way thumbs up

thomas the tank engine is big with that age group, the one that moves as you blow the whistle is good and not expensive, other than that maybe a digger or tractor and trailer

The plastic goal/football set is a good one. Any Little Tikes or Tonka toys are good too... and they don't break after an hour. Although at that age no matter what you get him... he'll probably get as much fun from the box as he does from the toy.

Also... a child is never too young for books. Some great picture books available for that age group. Or a simple story book that his mam and/or dad (or you) can read to him.
