These days I rarely cook, I leave mess behind me if I feel like it, I go out whenever I want to.. I stop up late if I feel like it, I spend $$ on the garden cos I love it, I regularly pack a swag and stop at friends houses, all that stuff that I could not do when I had a houseful.. It feels awwwhhh ever so good..
n I smoke in my house... leave garden tools lying about, play music loud sometimes, and sing along at the top of my lungs..
and down a beer when I feel like it... I am still resolved on learning how to drink.. can manage 2 beers in a row now.. getting better at it..
Congrats .. I too am learning to love the upside to growing old disgracefully and I like your style... Wouldn't change places with a young mum for quids...It feels so good to be slightly selfish at last and know the family is not going to fall apart because of it.
