Ah yes!!..growing up in the 1970's was fun. We had a 1968 Ford Country Sedan station wagon. We'd pull a camper trailer all over the western United States on our camping trips.

Visiting the Grand Canyon and the Snake River in Idaho are life long memories for me!!
That old wagon had over 400,000 miles on it.

1960 something Ford Falcon wagon, black on the outside, red interior, bucket front seats, so my older sister always up front and the other four of us in the back...going to the drive-in movies in our pajamas and having to watch the show between mom and sis's heads!! It was great!! Pillows and blankets piled in the far back; we'd fold the back seat down and lay in the back watching the movie...or what we could of it!popcorn and a hug brown paper bag of popcorn stained with butter!

From 1960 to about 1969 we were too poor to own a nice car. We had to depend on old used vehicles. My most vivid childhood car memory was when all five of us, mom and dad in the front seat, my brother, sister and I in the back seat. My dad kept turning to the back telling us to keep our feet up, along with my mom keeping her eyes on us the whole time worried us kids would fall through the rusted out floorboard on our way to Odessa, Texas, which was an 80 mile drive. It's a horrifying memory. Then in 1970 we got a nice, shiny new 1970 Pontiac Catalina. My brother and I eventually got to have that car when my parents bought a new 1980 Pontiac Bonneville. Moving on up !!

Now I drive a Jeep !! cool
