Did sheltie rescue years ago. Some behavior training for clients..
Rescued abused puppies, and took them to shelters.
Rescued my Katie (she passed last fall) from a vets office. The folks that had her tried to get her pout to sleep because they didn't want to pay 7 dollars to clear up her urinary tract infection. Took 5 years to get her unafraid of strangers. She stuck by my side to he end. She had diabetes, and needed shots twice a day, and small meals 4-6 times a day..for the last two years... I miss her alot.
When I was a kid, I used to capture wild animals to take care of...lol My mom hated it. especially the snakes, hehehehe

I recued my dog Kimo from an abusive home when he was just 1 yr. old ~ he was being beaten with a pipe and neglected ~ it breaks my heart to this day to think he endured that.
He's an American Eskimo.. and the sweetest dog I've ever had the priviledge to love ~ and have in my life. He's 13 now.. and due to the beatings he went through before I got him ~ his spine had hairline fractures in it, that with age has caused them to fragment and turn into shark teeth like jagged pieces that have damaged his spinal cord. He is now paralyzed and no can stand on his own.
After watching my sweetheart begin to fade away before my eyes for 3 months.. becoming depressed from no longer being able to go out for walks and runs on the beach ~ my brother sent me a link to a website,
where I discovered a wheelchair for dogs and ordered one made to his measurements. It arrived on Halloween last year ~ and his sadness was instantly replaced with pride and happiness that he was walking once again with the aid of his cart.
I love him more than words can possibly say ~ and when I'm feeling down about life stuff ~ I look into his beautiful golden eyes.. surrounded by snow white fur.. and become inspired by his strength and courage to face each day head on despite his new way of life.. and loss of freedom. He's recently been diagnosed with facial or nose cancer ~ which wounds my heart and spirit to no end... but I am committed to making his last months here as wonderful as possible. He's been a blessing in my life.. and I'm not ready to let go yet ~ and either is he. So until he shows me.. it's time we say good-bye... I will make every single day count. Lots of trips to the beach.. rides in the car, everything he's always loved in this life.
I will not get another right away ~ I have decided to take the necessary time to mourn, heal and accept. But when I am ready to give my love to another animal ~ it will definitely be another rescued dog.. a dog that someone for whatever reason, could not open their hearts to, or fulfill their promise of returned unconditional love.
If you have a chance to adopt a rescue animal ~ please do. They truly know that they're being given a second chance at life.. and they will love you with all their heart and soul for your kindness.
What really happened was our cat walked into our house and never left...we put up posters..really we did <_< >_> only we thought it was a girl cat at the time so they didn't do much good So we rescued it from being a stray...but we kidnapped it because if we had known it was a boy, there was a sign up for a boy can and by the time we figured out that it was a boy we couldn't find and of the signs yeah...we didn't look that close
2 dogs 2 cats 2 ferrets, all rescued, my pitbull is a rescue, my old mutt is, found one cat in a trash can, the other i saved from the gas chamber, both ferrets were left abadoned in a home, they all get on great, the cats and dogs just had steak witn me.
