Look at Singapore,Hongkong, Dubai. where the British got in, helped developed the place, promoted prosperity and then , left.
and then look at Iraq, Afghanistan, wher US entered ,the locals cheered first for getting rid of the dictators, then, Americans suddenly left, leaving theplaces at the hands of another set of dictators and at the mercy of Putin's gang and the islamic extremists.
A democratic superpower has a role toplay in the world. If you choose to stand idle and leave Syrians to the ruthless but firmslaughter by Putin's gangsters, it is your choice. But next time you get in somewhere,construct it, help it stand on its feets, before you leave. and don't please regard my saying as offensive or hateful. it is an observation shared by millions.
