To forgive the harmful things which people have done to us is perhaps the most difficult thing for any human being to do.
And forgiveness is that much more difficult if we love (or loved) the person involved, because the hurt is that much greater.
No one loved the human race more than Jesus Christ, because he loved us with the love of God, as God's Son. And no one did greater good for the human race in healing their sicknesses, and preaching the Good News of God's love.
Therefore, the crucifixion of Christ as a common criminal (the most painful death invented by the cruelty of man) was the worst injustice ever perpetrated by the human race.
