Scott1812: True heros!
Funny thing is, most of them don't even realize it,,...and so very seldom do people recognize them as such,.....when everyone is fleeing from the fire, they are heading towards it,...

To this very day I will never forget the Yellowstone fire where hundreds of people were fleeing the firestorm and a handful of Wyoming hotshots were headed the other way to save the Lodge,....and by Gemini,...they saved it,....I have to admit,....those Wyoming kids are pretty tough! LOL!

lonelygal122: Our firefighters saved my home and my entire town from bushfires this year. True blue heroes.
I haven't personally been to Oz to fight, but have worked with DAFFies (Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry) from Oz and the stories they tell are truly amazing. Temperatures that most Canadians cannot comprehend (over 50 C!) and fuel that literally explodes into flames! My hats off to each and everyone of them!
