Have all the usual side effects being insomnia, anxiety currently unable to work while I recover. I was abused for 17 years, and while I do work on it, I have trouble with it. I recently started seeing a guy who was made fully aware of my life. I've been knocked back by him , as I was told "You don't work. " I felt like breaking his legs and telling him to walk it off. In this era of domestic violence no longer a taboo topic, will I expect to find someone who understands or at least empathises?

Perhaps your not ready for a relationship but saying that I dont know you .
Having said that I would not worry about people like that .

No you dont work just yet but will one day ... I'm feeling you will .
And the right one will come along just have to have patience.
Me i was controlled for 21 years i never knew i was wont bore you with details .
But after it ended I rushed into one relationship after another .
I finally hit my rock bottom with my life health etc . Stopped shasing love
Dont worry about your work I have heard
