I've heard of Ayurvedic treatment for a lot of ailments but not of stretch marks before.
Anyway, I have lotsa those horrible stretch marks after the birth of my 2 kids
but I sworn by Bio-Oil.
Religiously applied with a generous amount twice daily will soon see those stretch marks gradually lessened and eventually faded.

For me, yes but the results might differ on another.

If it's already white/silvery, might be almost impossible. But try to whiten the area around the SM so it helps making the SM less visible.
Some said with Vicks Vaporub will help.
My suggestion, mix the following oils (pick 2 oils or better all): Rosehip Oil, Grapeseed Oil, Virgin Coconut Oil, Wheat Germ Oil....apply twice a day after shower. Could be mixed it with a good whitening serum/lotion.
Twice a week, scrub with Rice Flour & Lemon on the area
Some said with Vicks Vaporub will help.
