What was the craziest thing you ever did when you were a kid?


I have so many. But one stands out. when i was very young about 6 or 7, we had many many dogs. anyways the dog pound was outside our driveway and he was trying to catch a dog. Not one of ours. So me and my older brother went to the truck and saw about 4 dogs in the truck, now this was out in the sticks, so dogs did run around. it was no big deal. So we decided to let the doors open and free the 4 dogs in there. They ran in all directions getting home fast to hide. well the dog pound guy was real mad, and started yelling. we ran in the house and locked the doors. he just drove away mad.

When I was 7 I convinced my brother to go out our upstairs bedroom window late at nite . We tied sheets together and lower them out the window he climbed out and started to shimmy down all of a sudden the bed I tied the sheet to slide toward the window my mother came in the room
My brother plummeted to the ground out side got up and started yelling at me
My Mother said where is your brother I pointed to the window
She was waiting for him at the front door to give him a warm welcome

I seen it done on TV had to try it

One night at 2am I received a call to pick up my brother from a fair. I was 16, he was 13. I drove a bright yellow Chev Vega, 2 door hatchback.

The moment I arrived, 11 boys piled in the car (12 to 14 year olds)... sitting on each other, laying in the hatchback - filling every space -- feet stuck out the side windows. It must have looked ridiculous - I wish I had a picture of that.

Some gang behaviour was going on in the area so I didn't feel safe leaving them there . I decided to just give them rides home.

I didn't realize that a police car stopped down the road to watch the production as boys climbed in and out several times to fit. The police car followed me from stop to stop as I was dropping the boys off but he never pulled me over. After the 4th one, he just left.

My father heard all about it the next day ............at the coffee shop.

oh, and the time I walked through the bonfire....but that was an accident

When I was around 25, my 3 brothers and myself ventured out onto the frozen Niagara Gorge...otherwise known as the ice bridge, below the Falls. Pre Sunday beer store openings...we were gonna walk across to the States to buy a case of beer. The Parks Police caught us about half way across. We were each fined $150! The ice was up to 20 feet thick in places and constantly, and without warning, moving.
