Now see, it does happen like this for real, just as tapestry is saying.... am jelous. You go girl!

Everyone is different but the pace has to be something that both are comfortable with, be it emails or chatting back and forth, the phone, or all the above. I think some misunderstandings happen when one makes the initial contact without first knowing what the other person may or may not appreciate (phone number, nudie pic's, dirty limmericks, yada, yada) right off the bat. On the other hand, some of those ppl are only sending out sht like that for shock value and have no real intention of being serious (whatever their reasons may be).

In all fairness, I have received quite a few emails or flowers that were friendly and respectful and polite. There may not be a connection or recipricol interest but at least the contact was put out there in a non-offensive manner. These are true gentlemen....
