I personally wouldn't date the Ex of a friend because i don't want to hear the bad stuff my friend did or how good she was in bed or how terrible of a cook and so on.
Because consequently that will come up.
But on the other hand everyone has to make their own choices and live with them.
Kind a like you made your bed now you have to sleep in it. If you decide that you can't live without that woman/man who is the Ex of your friend then you have to be sure about it because there is the potential that both relationships can go sour on you.
Then you have lost both!
