For fans of dark satire in English, the blackest has to be "The Loved One," 1965, Jonathan Winters in the 2 lead roles, and many Hollywood stars supporting. 40 uears ahead of its time.
More recently, "1492 Conquest of Paradise." Beautiful cinematography, and Girard Depardieu seems pretty faithful to what we know of Columbus.

Personally, I love the thriller movies like "Play Misty for
