I'm caught in a strange crossroads
That wasn't meant to be,
Not to me,
Not in this time.

And she, was a bitter swirl of poison
I took her in
With a grin
And a second thought.

She was fate
Raveled in a turn
A bus, a face, a fury to only know

She came swift
Unknowingly, I sat patiently
Not knowing the better

And for what...
Some better day
for that brave new world
that never came..

Only to find despair and doubt
And prayers spoken by way of mountain passes
Who has led me here in this time
in this now?

And what am I to do?
And where will I go?
When all is lost
And no shoulder lies near.

Who will hear
when my cries fall on deaf ears

It's not a tangential line
A thing to figure.

More like random
As if lightning temps to touch the mountainside
That one stands on

When all is lost,
And depression draws near,
What will become of our tears?
