I think It's wonderful that we are hosting the olympic games. People are moaning about the amount of money being spent etc. It's nice to see some of the country's wealth being channeled into bringing countries together intstead of ripping them apart.

i think the olympic games commission pays for a big chunk of it although as a member state we do pay into it. one good thing will be upgrades to the city transport infrastructure....

I have no idea.My friend that lives in London and uses the tube to get to work everyday says they are going to spend a fortune on the underground updating it and making it more efficient.

why aren't british atheletes the best in the world anyway ? is it because of lack interest or lack of funding ?.. and will we ever be great at anything ?
I think it is not right to channel British tax payers money into this. It should be theadvertising companies etc. British people pay tax to secure their future and charity comes later.
Who is gaining from this events?. .....makes me laugh.
