good morning red nice to see you. JM, you are a beautiful woman and a beautiful person, be who you are, and let someone appreciate you for you, and love who you ar e for you.
Eau Naturelle`.......plenty of guys prefer a fuller figured lady...that was the question right??? I dont believe the question was..."Define fat..or "are there any animals which are obese"...hmmm... Well i guess somebody doesnt appreciate the more ample woman....never mind..their loss eh?????..
Actually, your examples of "obese" animals is not correct. The definition of "obese" is unhealthy and excessive amounts of fat. However, "unhealthy" and "excessive" mean different things for different species. The amount of fat on a hippo is normal for its species. Seals need fat as insulation, it's not excess for them. Grizzly bears eat lots of fat before denning during winter because they won't eat for many months. Extra fat is important for them to survive and by no means unhealthy to them. Unlike humans they can't physiologically get heart disease from eating fat. Gorillas look fat but they are not. Their big bellies are caused by gases from fermenting plants in their stomachs. There are many more examples. With the exception of man-fed animals (cats, dogs or overfed livestock) I can't think of an obese animal either.
His remarks may have been crude but sometimes I wonder why it is off-limits to criticize overeating but not smoking for example. Obesity is one of the leading causes of preventable illnesses and deaths in this country. I'm sure he wasn't talking about people who gained weight due to some illness or other reason besides overeating.
