SexySupermanathens, USA31 Threads 178 PostsI could probly meet alot of cool people if i had a little more faith in human nature. I just dont trust other people to live up to their word. If i travel 300 or so miles and people didnt show up to meet me, man id hunt em down and slap em silly. Then if anyone says ill come see you if you send me money, I automatically assume its a scam. So being untrusting, good or bad?

Someone sending money - in my books is just asking to be let down like a lead balloon 
Meeting half way is an option, or even all the way if you feel after a couple of longer phonecalls it got potential.
However, dont just go for the sake of the person. Always have a fallback system
in place.
Such as if someone doesnt show up, check out the town, city, do some site-seeing ... and do remember, no matter where you go, there you are...

I wouldn't trust anybody asking for money.
If somebody said they were arriving I'd show at the airport. I'd feel silly if they didn't, but I would be there.
