Hey I check out the Iowa Forums every time I log in. I love living in Iowa. It has a few draw backs but "Stranded in Iowa" I can understand.

Not sure about anyone logging into the forums, just started this site myself. As for moving back, did the same thing about 8 yrs ago..left again 3 yrs ago and here I am, back in Iowa for 2 yrs now....crazy i think!!!
I never heard that Manfred Mann song. But I moved to Iowa from lousy New York last year and have never been happier! So just when you were wondering if anyone comes to the forum, well here I am
Stranded in Iowa... I can relate... I do relate completely! Lived here my whole life and have felt that way most of it as well. I move I come back, move, back, move back.... Is there an electro-magnetic field of some kind that messes with mine..? I don't know, but it is strange to me, to watch these people, who I have watched all my life, just go on the way they do, all.... ignorant and stuff. There used to be a time when Iowa was known for it's school system, and even then they didn't realize how oblivious they were to the truth.
Other than that I love it here!! All along the Mississippi River, the landscape is wonderfull. There are other places peppered about in Iowa that are just as beautiful... All in all though it's a farmer and religion owned state, bigoted throughout!
