How many of you have entered Survivor before? Have you had any luck going for an interview, etc?

How many of you would like to enter Survivor and do you think you've got what it takes to Outwit, Outlast and Outplay all the other members?

In a moment of weakness I entered Survivor South Africa this year.....don't know whether it was a good idea or not, but I'm having second thoughts about it.....for one thing, if I get to go, I don't think I'll be able to leave my daughter behind for so long......

Any comments on this?

if they ask you to go surf out there with the great whites sharks please decline. I seen what they do to them surfers on the discovery channel. And it isnt a pretty sight. I say do it. I bet your daughter would get a kick out of it. How old is she? Is she old enough to appreciate survivor. Oh wait I'm on the wrong channel,I was thinkin Fear Factorlaugh doh

I agree whole-heartedly........but what do I do when I get emotionally drained (and they all do after a while)........I'm not easy on giving up on something and would stick to the end......but I've seen some of those contestants going nuts after a while

My mom agreed to look after her, but what if she forgets about me in the meantime?

The stunts would be fun. I could not handle eating the wierd stuff. I just dont see putting yourself thru all that and not walking away with anything. You look like the survivor type, I bet you would be very good, though I'm sure your daughter would miss you very much as you would miss her. But she would probably get a kick seeing her mom on the televisionlaugh

applause I say go for it...make a tape for your daughter and have mom play it everyday for her...she won't miss you too awful much..she is just a baby...but when you come back she will know it is you and all will be good...

We had a gal from our little old run of the mill town enter in the Australian Survivor and she came down to the last 3 and our whole town supported her and gave her a big welcome when she came back..don't know her personally but she works at the hospital and I have seen her back to work...she said on an interview that she was so glad she did it..

I have seen your posts on here and you are a fair woman and I don't think you could intentionally cut throat anyone...but for the money...it is just a game and...just like Risk or Monopoloy..keep that in your mind and you will fair well...

What if you fall in love there???shock

Hell yes give it a go if you think you are up to it. As long as you enjoy eating different foods and don't mind being away from the real world go for it.

I know one guy on here did apply but was turned down because he's a survival expert. Not sure what kind of shape you are in, but noticed that your profile says you are trying to quit smoking. You'd better quit long before going on the show or you'll make it twice as hard for yourself. Good luck and let us know how you make out and if/when it begins being broadcast.thumbs up

Hey there dancingfarmer.......yes, I know what you mean about the smoking. I thought it would be a great idea and an excellent reason to quit the smoking. Still trying to quit though, even if I'm not going.......but I'll get there eventually.

Just make sure you're all done quitting before you go. You don't need having nicotine fits added to all the other uncomfortable sitautions there. Good luck.cheering
