I’m inviting
You to play!
This could be fun
This could be boring
This just may set
Your mind to soaring.
Just craft a clever verse or two
You never know what you can do.
Abra isn’t the only one
Who qualifys for rhymning fun!
The gauntlet’s down
The glove’s been thrown.
The mood is playful
The seed is sown.
The masses rise
With hue and cry
Our minds are nimble
Our thoughts are spry!
We can jingle
We can float
(If it gets too deep
We’ll find a boat!)
So start with just a word or two.
Then watch it grow.
And spout
Yahoo!
I’ve made a poem.
It don’t mean squat.
But making sense
The point is not.
The slithy toads fall to the rear
Gyre and gimble away, my dear
