I sang Adelaide's lament, tap danced with swirling skirts that showed my legs and thought of touching you, of touching me, of being touched and kissed and cherished in the moment; such a gentle web we spun together, fragile and exotic, full of spice, of passion, quiet now, a low ebb come to paradise; yet still my skin's abuzz desiring all the promise of tomorrow, the moment held in amber, glowing in a gentle field of possibility.

tap danced with swirling skirts
that showed my legs
and thought of touching you,
of touching me,
of being touched
and kissed and
cherished in the moment;
such a gentle web
we spun
together,
fragile and exotic,
full of spice, of passion,
quiet now,
a low ebb come to paradise;
yet still my skin's abuzz
desiring all
the promise of tomorrow,
the moment held
in amber,
glowing
in a gentle field
of possibility.
