After some years of writing romance poetry, some grieving mothers emailed me asking for me to write a poem in memory of their sons and daughters that past away. I have to say that it was very hard to do because the tears would flow as I was writing a poem for them.

I never got to involved in writing a lot of them as I do romance poetry, because it hurt so much to feel for their loss of their loved ones. I know it helped make them feel a little better after they read the poems I wrote for them; but still it will never take the pain away that they all will have to endure for the rest of their life's

I thought that I would share this one I wrote for a lady that lost her loving son in a car accident. His name was Jason Ramirez.

~ Seasonal Memories ~


Each year when you are looking at all the beautiful
autumn colors in life I am alive amongst the leaves
that gently float downward to brush up against your
skin to say I am here with you.

Each year when you see the crystal whiteness of
snowflakes drifting downwards I am floating within
them to land on your cheeks and melt my love into
your sweet soul with the kiss of life.

Each year when the birds sing their new songs in the
spring they are singing songs from my heart to you and
the warm breeze you feel on your skin is my breath
of life whispering gently to you that I am here.

Each year when the summers sun brings forth life for
you to absorb I am with you to nourish your heart, mind,
spirit and soul with my loving warmth that has never left
your side.

Each moment of thought you have for me to cherish
in your heart is my life within you to stay for all eternity
and when you awake each day I will be with you in spirit
letting you know that we will be together once again.

Each and every moment when you feel that I am not with
you then observe I am amongst all the seasons of life as
you live daily while I leave sweet kisses through the gentle
winds of life upon your spirit in memory of my love.

Thank you for posting this.....Sept 21st will be two years since I Lost my closest friend in a motorbike accident...it stills seems not truly possible that he is gone.....thank you for this poem....puts to words alot of feelings...bless you for this

The first Memorial poem that I wrote was for one of my dearest online friends the day she told me her Daddy passed away. She asked me if she could take it and read it to the entire crowd at her fathers funeral and of course I said yes and I was very honored that she thought so highly of this poem.

A few days later we had a discussion online like we do from time to time and she said to me that she read it at the funeral and guess what Bobby? I said, what Debbie?

She told me that there was not one eye without tears after she read this poem at the funeral that I wrote just for her when she lost her dearest loving Daddy.


~ I Miss You Daddy ~

I awoke today and the void of you not being there
so overwhelmed me that I was in great loss without
your love around me Daddy.

Oh! Daddy what am I going to do now without you
here to guide me with all your words of wisdom
and hearing your loving voice that always healed
my heart and lifted my spirit with joy?

My pain is so indescribable Dear Daddy that I am
in shock to the point that I want to curl up into
a ball and do nothing but have sweet dreams of you
holding me in your arms and never letting go.

Rivers of tears will always be in my heart for you
Daddy and life will never be the same without you
my Dear Sweet Daddy. Oh! God help my pain and tell
my Daddy I miss him so.

Oh! my sweet darling daughter I am here with you
forever more looking down upon you from heaven
with many angels of joy that are guiding me even
closer to your heart than ever before.

Please don't cry my sweet loving daughter for I am
in paradise with God holding my hand out to you in
the winds that flow across your soul, can't you feel
and hear me sweetheart?

My sweet angelic daughter you need not hurt, for all I
feel now is peace, love and joy like I never have felt
before in the hands of God and with all the angels that
are protecting you for me.

My most dearest daughter, sleep with dreams of angels
by your side and smile with all your heart while you seek
me everyday in the heavens above, for I am sitting here by
the throne of God waiting until you're day of arrival to
once hold you in my arms again.

I am always sorry to hear anybody has lost someone they love dearly, so anybody that does open this post that has lost a loved one, I grieve with you also in silence of mind.

That was very thoughtful to wirite on request. For me, as a song writer, it's hard to write on request. Others do it so easily. You did a fantastic job. Nice piece
