Love my dog David..but a year or two ago for some reason kitties started coming to my home (several weighed less than a pound)..I couldn't give them to the pound knowing they would be killed, so being the big hearted person I am..gave them homes and names...here's the clan in no particular order...Chloe Ann, Gracie Marie, Rebecca Louise, Ruthie Mae, Mary Elizabeth, Hannah Eve, Mary Mageline, Jordan Rose, Simon Peter, Elijah Jacob, William Luke, Micah Phillip. Lots of love in my home, and lots of vacumming since I like things in order and fresh and clean...so tell us about your kitties..guys who like cats are special...(PS..tried to find the kitties homes, no one was willing to take the very best care of them, so they're with me) They have all their shots, neutered, spayed, etc and loved to pieces...My pets will always love me for who I am,and never cheat on me, ever...can't beat that kind of love...though they wouldn't be much fun at a drive in movie..yes, we still have one drive in movie theater open in my area...Much Love...
We always had cats and dogs while I was growing up. While I was married we had mainly cats and I was into tropical fish also. We did have one dog, a golden retriever that we got before our youngest son was born. One day she put our newborn son on the couch while I was there so she could do something in the kitchen. The dog came up and sniffed at Andrew out of curiosity. When the ex looked, she thought the dog was dragging our son off the couch. No matter what I said, the dog had to go. Cats I don't mind so long as they leave the feet alone if they are hanging over the edge of the bed while sleeping :D

Yes that must be a special bond you have with yours...my clan doesn't do that..they just make sure I don't take a shower or bath by myself. I always have an audience.
I grew up with dogs, and had nothing against cats just never thought about owning one because i kinda thought they weren't a very manly pet and you couldn't interact with them like you could a dog. The was until i ended up getting a cat when i moved into my apartment. My cat is different then other cats longer fangs, claws and he is very aggressive won' back down from any kinda of threat ppl or animal and makes a pretty good watch animal. He will do a weird screaming noise when someones out side my window. We always thought he was just nuts...later we found out he was half bobcat..kinda explains a few things. lol
But my mom endede up getting a few cats when her dog passed away, we started to realize there aint much diff. between dogs and cats except one craps in the yard and one craps in a box.
Dogs have owners who dominate, the idea is you become a pack leader....it depends on you for food and allows itself to be put on a lead and taken for a walk, again ensuring they come home.
A cat?...they can feed themselves and find a new home and friend for life any time they want
They live where they want, with whom they choose and do what ever they choose to do. So if the cat is on your lap it wants to be there !!!! Every time you open the door for a cat you depend on the home you provide for it.
By the way I think it reflects how you treat people to....allow to choose or dominate !!
