luckily i live in a area that does.nt see much flooding> But when i see other areas. hit again by floods. I wonder WHY nothing has been done to prevent this happening again London has the defence barrier protecting the CAPITAL for the likely hood of flooding. So why CAN>T the river SEVERN have the same protection?? Obviously central Goverment can inject public money into floundering financial companies ie Northern Rock . But hesitates to put money into a system to protect our country side from the ravages of consistent flooding.
Or do we just wait for it to persistently happen every year. PPL in these areas MUST demand a policy that will stop this happening. again and again. There are solutions. But why arn.t they implemented??
We never have a answer to why we commit our troops to distant shores at great expense. Thec money is need HERE. Not some poppy growing country. .
Or bailing out companies loosing money BAIL US OUT .
The city i live will no doubts spend millions this year on our cultural aspects. So there is money the only thing tho is if should be directed at priorities. And flooding is a TOP PRIORITY. it wont go away. Or our we all indifferent to other counties as long as it does.nt effect US
