Dear IRS, Enclosed is my 2005 tax return showing that I owe $3,407.00 in taxes. Please note the attached article from USA Today, wherein you will see the Pentagon is paying $171.50 for hammers and NASA has paid $600.00 for a toilet seat. I am enclosing four toilet seats (value $2400) and six hammers (value $1029), bringing my total remitted to $3429.00. Please apply the overpayment of $22.00 to the "Presidential Election Fund," as noted on my return. You can do this inexpensively by sending them one 1.5" Phillips Head screw (article from USA Today detailing how HUD pays $22.00 each for 1.5" Phillips Head Screws is enclosed for your convenience.) It has been a pleasure to pay my tax bill this year, and I look forward to paying it again next year. Sincerely, A Satisfied Taxpayer

Heres a good one for you. Did you know back in history that taxes were suppose to be just for awhile not forever. Hated history but remember that one well lol
My oldest son stopped in last night asking if I would do his taxes for him. He owes Uncle Sam $118 and he made less than 18k last year. He owes because I could still claim him as a dependant.
Too bad this was is last time I can claim him. I'm going to miss those big refunds :D
And if your late you have a penalty to pay. How about giving us more back for holding it all year. Or if you don't have your refund back by the 15th collect a penalty from the government for being late?? ah oh I better watch it here the feds might come after me for government bashing.
In the good old medeival days you had to pay 10th to the curch and 10th to the king. Meaning 20% of your chickens, grains, eggs ans so forth. This was considered at the time as horrendeous. I don´t know about USA but in Sweden the taxes are more then twice that nowadays. How ever, we only pay taxes with pieces of paper these days. The IRS don´t come nocking on my door and take my chickens anymore. Phew
Always remember the government wants for nothing. If they feel they need it they take it. Unfortunetly in most cases they do not figure in people's ability to pay taxes. They look at is as it's only a few dollars, but it's a snow ball effect, and before long the snow ball gets bigger than we can push.
Have you ever wondered why most people in office are independently wealthy? Hum? Might have something to do with the fact that they want to keep it that way.
