I've made lots of friends on line, it did take some time though. Finding a common ground is key. Hang in there, soon you'll have more friends than you know what to do with.
I have had and still have a number of online friends. I have also played many online games where I interacted with them for long periods of time before we moved outside the game. The hardest part is, like last night is a great example... Paws left suddenly and I thought deleted his profile after making some disturbing (to me I saw suicidal thoughts) posts. I FREAKED OUT! Apparently Paws, being the sweet man that he is, tends to go into overload and has to simply back out sometimes and breathe. That is my interpretation of it anyhow, and I know how that is, I do it myself. Point is, when something like that happens, be it a power outage, internet crash, whatever, in the middle of perhaps a deep discussion, POOF they are gone... it's HELL!
but I still gotta be me. I love Paws to pieces as well as a few others I have met in here. As a friend of course. But that could be why some people aren't too thrilled about having online fiends... it can be pretty stressful! And not on purpose either, just because of the instability of the system we use. Just my thoughts on the subject
Try adding some specific things about like, for example what kind of music or movies you like, I think you'll find it's easier for people with similar interests to find you.
